Second batch of Rafale fighters in india
The second batch of Rafale fighter jets reached India on 4 November, this batch consists of three fighter aircraft.
These fighter aircraft have been landed at the Jamnagar airbase of Gujarat.
Important key points about the second batch Rafael Fighter aircrafts in India
On 23 September 2016, India-France signed agreement to purchase 36 Rafale fighter jets from france.
These aircrafts are manufactured by French company 'Dassault Aviation'.
The maximum speed of these aircraft is 2200 km per hour and they fly to a maximum height of 50,000 feet.
They have the ability to refuel in the air using the Probe & Drogue method.
Rafale aircraft have electronic warfare (EW) system, these 6 air to air missiles capable of trekking and carrying infra
of red search.
All 36 Rafale aircraft are proposed to be delivered to India by the end of 2021.
The total cost of these fighter aircraft will be around 159,000 crores.
5 Rafale aircraft were included in the first batch on 29 July, 3 single seats, while 2 double seats were plane aircraft. This Rafale aircraft is included in Air Force Squadron 17 (Golden Arrows) at Ambala.
